AI stance & vibe coding

The original proof of concept back in December 2025 was vibe coded. We liked where it was going and decided to double down on it, rewriting large parts of the app over the winter with a more sustainable approach.

We’re having a lot of fun building with AI, but I don’t believe we’re at a point where we can make reliable production software with unsupervised prompting. We review the code, and steer the plan and implementation to our idea of what “good software” should be under the hood after 15+ years in the industry.

We also use Flame on a regular basis and want it to be solid for our own workflow.
